Press & reviews
“Pianist-saxist Steve and vocalist Iqua make music in the jazz tradition, yet utterly original and out of the ordinary.”
Gene Kalbacher, Hot House
“This is music of serious intent that draws you in with gaiety and swing and then hits you with more substance than you’d bargained for.”
JazzTimes
“Colson has forged a cool and collected style for himself, with a warm touch, liquid phrasing, and the witty suggestion of Monkian harmonies….”
Gary Giddins, The Village Voice
“Iqua appeared on stage…my immediate reaction was ‘where has she been hiding?’”
